School Information Center

The centre provides information and advice for parents, pupils and interested persons on all questions concerning school in Hamburg.

The School Information Center („Schulinformationszentrum“) is a service facility of Hamburg’s Ministry of School and Vocational Training (Behörde für Schule und Berufsbildung).

Among others, they offer the following services: 

  • giving information and advice on school education programmes
  • checking school-leaving qualifications from abroad as well as from other German federal states
  • guiding and enroling children and adolescents of school age without German language skills into international preparation classes at public schools 
  • issuing school report duplicates and school attendance confirmations 

If you wish a consultation in the School Information Center, please arrange an appointment in advance.
