Would you like to start a career in skilled crafts? We offer career advice and orientation as well as counselling and guidance on training.
Providing advice to skilled workers, managers and their families is a particular priority for the Hamburg Welcome Center (HWC). Special support services are available to foreign self-employed persons, researchers, employees and freelancers on matters relating to registration and immigration. The Hamburg Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerkskammer Hamburg) supports the Hamburg Welcome Center by providing expert advice on skilled trades.
Advice and support for refugees and immigrants interested in an internship, training or a job in the skilled trades, as well as placement in training and/or internships, is provided directly on site at the HWC. The project also offers career guidance and skills assessment for this target group and brings together those seeking training with Hamburg-based skilled trades businesses.
About Us
The Hamburg Chamber of Skilled Crafts gives voice to the skilled crafts and represents the interests of approximately 15,000 crafts enterprises in Hamburg. There are many excellent career opportunities in the skilled crafts sector. At the Hamburg Welcome Center, we support professional immigrants who are interested in starting a career in this arena in Hamburg.
