Fair Integration

The ‘Fair Integration’ project is a counselling service for refugees and migrants from non-EU countries on social and labour law issues. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales). Further funding is provided by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

About Us

The Fair Integration project run by Arbeit und Leben Hamburg supports refugees and migrants from non-EU countries with issues relating to employment law.

Our Services

Advice is given to people who are already employed, training or doing internships, as well as those who would like preemptive information regarding their working conditions.

We inform and advise on:

  • questions relating to employment, such as remuneration, working conditions, temporary work, dismissal, termination agreement and temporary employment
  • employees’ rights and obligations

The project does not provide any legal services, but may get lawyers involved. The service is free and confidential. Advice is given in the language of the person seeking advice, and help from interpreters is possible if necessary.

You can find multilingual information flyers on labor law topics on the Fair Integration website.
